Electronic Waste Recycling

As with our paper shredding services, Shred360 also provides electronic waste recycling services.

Electronic Waste does not belong in a landfill or a residential garbage can and should be recycled using a certified service to ensure that the material is handled in a proper manner.

Shred360 will gladly accept the following forms of Electronic Waste:

  • Household Computers – Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, E-Readers, Game Consoles
  • Printers – All makes and models (including large office printers) and including ink cartridges and toners
  • Peripherals – Keyboards, mouses, speakers, cameras, external drives
  • Flash Media – USB Storage Devices, PDAs, iPads, tablets
  • Optical Media – CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMS, DVD-ROMS

Shred360 cannot accept any CRT televisions and/or computer monitors that have glass screens due to laws involving the proper disposal and recycling of hazardous materials in those units. Shred360 can not recycle appliances.

The materials contained in electronic waste contain a variety of valuable metals such as aluminum, copper, gold, silver, plastics, and ferrous metals that can be recovered to save resources and energy needed to produce new materials.

Safely recycling electronic waste also means that the hazardous materials such as mercury, lead, cadmium, beryllium, chromium, and chemical flame retardants will not end up in the environment.

The materials in electronic waste take hundreds of thousands of years to degrade, recycling them using our services will ensure that they do not end up in landfills.
