Shred360 Named 2012 BBB Torch Award Winners

The Shred360 Team receives the very prestigious BBB Torch Award!

Columbia, SC October 25, 2012 – Shred360 was recognized Tuesday October 24th as recipient of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Central SC and Charleston annual Torch Award.

BBB Torch Awards recognize companies that are committed to exceptional standards for ethical business practices and service to their customers, employees, suppliers, and communities.

Shred360 was selected by an independent panel of business professionals and announced during the 2012 BBB Business Trust EXPO.

The EXPO, held on Tuesday, October 24th 2012 at the Brookland Baptist Conference Center in W. Columbia, was a free event for the community that featured BBB Accredited Businesses, health screenings from Lexington Medical Center and a free ‘Shred Day’, provided by Shred360 that safely destroyed over 8,000 lbs of sensitive data and materials for the community.

After successful careers serving our nation in the military, John Anderson (CFO) and James Christie (CEO) decided to serve our community and local businesses with the creation of Shred360.

SHRED 360 has grown into the largest independently owned document destruction company in South Carolina due to their commitment to provide safe and secure destruction of confidential and sensitive personal information for its clients and the community.

To date, Shred360 has successfully provided secure document destruction services to nearly 4000 customers and clients, and has provided free services to thousands more South Carolina consumers, through its “Free Shred Day” program each year.

“As the headlines have reflected, ethical business practices have taken a beating,” says Jim Camp, President and CEO Serving the BBB of Central SC and Charleston. “The variety of nominees for this years Torch Award and the subsequent winner reflect an increasing interest by more and more companies in emphasizing their commitment to strict ethical business practices in their operations as their primary method of self-regulation,” Camp said. “This belief is the cornerstone of the BBB system.”
